Ide Parish Council leases ground for use as allotment gardens from Devon County Council for residents of Ide parish. There are eight plots, on land behind Ide School, adjacent to the MUGA.
The Parish Council lets the plots to gardeners under a formal licence renewable annually in July for an annual rent of £35.62 (reviewed in July 2020).
As of 1 October 2020 all eight plots are let. A waiting list is held by the parish clerk and is open, with one person currently on the list.
Licence holders are required to join the Ide Allotments Association, whose chair is Carolyn Tysoe firstname.lastname@example.org
Plot holders are issued with keys to access the allotments across school property. They must report to the school office if they go to the allotments during school hours.
