We put a nestbox with a camera up in Ide Community Orchard on Wednesday 14th April and three days later, a blue tit (or 2) moved in! It’s amazing to watch them build their nest. They’re unaware of the camera which peers though a hole in the roof. It is linked to a neighbour’s internet and is charged by a solar battery.
We got the nestbox from the RSPB and the birds are unaware of the camera which peers through a small hole in the roof above them. The outside has a metal ring to stop predators like woodpeckers clearing it out. So. Here’s the first film – the colours are amazing and it’s fascinating to see the nest grow!
